When was the last time that you checked out your own podcast landing page in iTunes?
It may seem a bit basic and even perhaps a waste of time, but in all honesty it’s a very important space that podcasters often overlook. I may venture to say that for the majority of your potential raving fans this is the first and only impression that they will get. There will be no second...

(via davidseah.com)
The fifth update of this year’s forms, which brings me to 42 updates so far, is the Task Progress Tracker. I was originally going to do a quick update of it, but I ended up redesigning both this and the more obscure Destruct-o-matic version.

The company has also revealed a big new way to grow its audience: a button that publishers can use to ask questions on their website called “Respond.” As the name suggests, it lets visitors respond to a question posed by the publisher. The button itself resembles the Tweet, Facebook share and Digg buttons already pervasive on millions of sites across the web.

Google has just dropped a bomb shell: Chrome will no longer support H.264 HTML5 video playback. The open-sourced WebM (VP8) and Ogg Theora video codecs will be the only options for HTML5 video. H.264 will not be dropped immediately, but probably with the next stable build of Chrome.

… Markdown is what’s next for text
Text alone, however, is not enough. It needs to contain references to links and formatting that guides a busy web reader’s eyes to where they want to go. Markdown makes it easy to mark up your text without any knowledge of HTML and without getting locked into a more complex editor that others might not use. …
